Human Resource Dynamics

Mission

Empowering organisational leaders, business owners and HR practitioners within the private sector to make better sense of the laws and regulations governing employment practices.

“The business of the law is to make sense of the confusion...”

Archibald MacLeish

Compliance with the law is not an option.

Although HR practitioners are oftentimes considered the go-to for questions related to employment laws and regulations, other stakeholders such as organisational leaders and business owners need to have a sound understanding of them to mitigate the risks of lawsuits or fines for non-compliance.  In supporting compliance, our pragmatic approach is designed to help these stakeholder groups within the private sector understand and apply the laws and regulations that govern employment practices in Jamaica.

Our vision is to expand our services to provide legal services and to extend our services to the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries within the next five years. We bring extensive experience and professionalism to every client and customise our services to individual needs and concerns.

Our core values are as follows:

  • Honesty - we guard well our reputation. Therefore, we operate with transparency and truth because we believe in God and desire to do His will at all times.

  • Reliability - it is of paramount importance that we deliver on our commitments 100% of the time.

  • Drive - we are passionate about what we do, so we serve our clients with unparalleled excellence.

“If you think compliance is expensive, try non-compliance.”

– Former U.S. Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty

Development of HR Policies & Procedures

With additional laws and regulations or changes to existing ones, employers need to either review or develop HR policies to communicate their intention to comply.  Therefore, we are able to review existing HR policies and develop new ones in collaboration with key stakeholders within organisations.

Development of Employee Handbooks

Employee Handbooks are essential because they serve as a quick and concise reference to the HR policies and as tools for onboarding new employees and conducting refresher sessions with existing employees.  We develop these tools in an electronic format for hosting on your intranet, which augurs well for ease of access and future updates.
